Danao Adventure Park, in the north of Bohol, is a canyon playground: plunges, river swings, and a trek that local operators have built into a half-day product. It suits people who want a harness more than another viewpoint.
It is a poor add-on to a Tagbilaran–Carmen loop. The drive is the activity before the activity. Give Danao its own day from Panglao or accept that you will see the park and little else.
Listen to the weight and weather limits. Canyoneering after a night of rain can be cancelled for reasons that have nothing to do with your booking reference. Shoes with grip matter. A cotton shirt from the hotel does not dry by dinner.
This park is optional on a first Bohol trip. The hills and the sanctuary are the province. Danao is the reason to come back when the group is the sort that likes a height.
