The Department of Agriculture (DA) announced that it would sell SRA-DA BBM sugar to consumers for Php70 per kilogram in some locations.

The sugar that DA-SRA sells through the Kadiwa outlets is only for direct consumers; it is not for resale.

The initiative is a temporary measure, according to SRA, while waiting for sugar mills to start operating at full capacity. The Sugar Agency noted that there will be an adequate supply of affordable sugar accessible once the bulk of the nation’s sugar mills is operating at full capacity.
